Transport

In the town of Sangjang turn north off the main road Jl. Paokmotong Kotaraja to reach Tetebatu on good roads.

Tetebatu is only 45km from the island's international airport (LOP), with flight links across Indonesia and to international hubs including Singapore and Perth.

With the right transport, you can reach almost anywhere on the island in a day. Popular options include Sembalun, Kuta Lombok, Senggigi or the nearby Gili Islands.

  • Monkey Forest

    4 kilometers north of the village centre, the peaceful forest is the ideal place to see grey macaques as well as Lombok’s ‘rarer and more beautiful’ black monkeys. Visit with a guide for the best chances to see monkeys in the canopy.

    Rising to 3,726m (Rinjani) and both giving spectacular views of Lombok and the Rinjani Crater Lake, you can complete a trek up either of Lombok’s mountains from Tetebatu.
